Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven culinary experience in a professional kitchen
  • Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and handle physical demands of kitchen work
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a supervisory culinary role
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation
  • Ability to train and manage kitchen staff effectively
  • Creative skills in menu planning and dish creation
  • Familiar with budget preparation and financial monitoring in a restaurant setting
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to accommodate guest dietary restrictions

Job Duties

  • Assist Executive Chef when Executive Chef is present and act on behalf of Executive Chef when Executive Chef is absent in organizing, training, and employee management
  • Assist Executive Chef to prepare necessary data for applicable parts of the budget
  • Project annual food, labor, and other costs and monitor actual financial results
  • Take corrective action as necessary to help assure that financial goals are met
  • Regularly create unique dishes and menu items for daily features and specialty events
  • Consult with guests to meet dietary restrictions and palate preferences
