Job Requirements
- Education equivalent to an A.O.S. degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate
- Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Ability to manage food cost controls
- Experience with catering and high-volume foodservice operations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic communication tools
- Willingness to participate in patient satisfaction programs
- Ability to perform physical culinary tasks as required
Job Qualifications
- A.O.S. degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate with required experience
- Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- Catering experience preferred
- Experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations
- Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
- Comprehensive understanding of food and catering trends
- Proficient with computers including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet
- ServSafe certification preferred
Job Duties
- Assist Executive Chef in managing cost controls and expenditures
- Assist Executive Chef with menu planning and creation
- Produce and execute catering events
- Implement new culinary programs in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams
- Supervise hourly kitchen associates
- Develop daily menu items including preparation and garnishment
- Maintain food quality, sanitation, and presentation standards
