Job Requirements

  • Education equivalent to an A.O.S. degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate
  • Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • Ability to manage food cost controls
  • Experience with catering and high-volume foodservice operations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic communication tools
  • Willingness to participate in patient satisfaction programs
  • Ability to perform physical culinary tasks as required

Job Qualifications

  • A.O.S. degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate with required experience
  • Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • Catering experience preferred
  • Experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations
  • Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
  • Comprehensive understanding of food and catering trends
  • Proficient with computers including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist Executive Chef in managing cost controls and expenditures
  • Assist Executive Chef with menu planning and creation
  • Produce and execute catering events
  • Implement new culinary programs in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams
  • Supervise hourly kitchen associates
  • Develop daily menu items including preparation and garnishment
  • Maintain food quality, sanitation, and presentation standards
