Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Two years of experience in a large-volume food establishment
- Knowledge of menu planning and food preparation
- Understanding of food and labor cost management
- Strong problem solving skills
- Excellent customer service abilities
- Fluency in English
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Compliance with health and safety regulations
- Effective labor management skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university preferred
- Two years of progressively challenging experience in large-volume, high quality food establishments
- Knowledge of menu planning, soups, sauces, meat, poultry, and seafood items
- Knowledge of food and labor costs
- Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent customer service and employee relations skills
- Fluent and literate in English with good oral and written communication
- Ability to listen and respond to visual and aural cues
- Teamwork skills collaborating with other departments and leaders
- Compliance with regulatory, governmental, and safety requirements
- Effective labor management to minimize overtime and assign staff according to guest flow
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge and compliance with departmental, company policies and procedures
- Ability to maintain health department standards and achieve high inspection scores
- Understanding of restaurant cleanliness and price/value management
Job Duties
- Responsible for culinary standards and operational guidelines within a specific outlet for a specific shift including kitchen areas, food preparation activities, and facilities
- Administers all aspects of food preparation ensuring kitchen is clean, well stocked, and problem-free
- Recommends changes on all standard menus to improve food costs, volume, quality, attractiveness, and efficient preparation
- Performs culinary tasks such as broiler, sauté, Asian, and prep as needed
- Ensures compliance with all state and company sanitation requirements (ServSafe)
- Supports safety and accident prevention programs including knife handling and proper lifting
- Monitors and implements garbage separation and disposal standards
- Coordinates workflow during shifts to meet business demands and customer satisfaction
- Solicits and responds to customer feedback on food quality professionally
- Develops team by completing required training and ensuring knowledge of policies and procedures
- Maintains visibility to customers and represents the company professionally
- Performs all other related duties as assigned
