The Sous Chef Kitchen Assistant Manager is a full-time position integral to the culinary operations at Heritage Senior Living. This role is designed for individuals passionate about culinary arts and hospitality, combined with leadership skills and a strong commitment to quality service. The Sous Chef Kitchen Assistant Manager assists the executive chef with both culinary and administrative responsibilities, ensuring smooth kitchen operations, strict adherence to sanitation standards, and efficient inventory and record management. This position demands a hands-on leader who can manage a team, multitask effectively, and embody a caring and compassionate attitude toward residents, visitors, and fellow staff.

Job Requirements
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- high school diploma, GED, or 1-3 months related experience or training preferred
- must submit and pass all applicable pre-employment and annual tests and meet all training and other applicable state and federal guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Experience in a manager, assistant manager and/or supervisor role
- experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, cooking, plating, culinary arts, and/or hospitality preferred
- excellent communication skills

Job Duties
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff
- assist executive chef with daily culinary and administrative tasks
- maintain order and discipline in kitchen, record keeping, inventory management, purchase orders
- perform executive chef duties in his/her/their absence
- become proficient in all kitchen sanctions and cross-train/train new and existing culinary staff on preparation, arrangement, and plating of dishes per the current menu set by the company
- maintain comfort, privacy, and dignity of our residents
