Job Requirements

  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • high school diploma, GED, or 1-3 months related experience or training preferred
  • must submit and pass all applicable pre-employment and annual tests
  • meet all training and other applicable state and federal guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a manager, assistant manager, and/or supervisor role
  • experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, cooking, plating, culinary arts, and/or hospitality preferred
  • strong customer service focus
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to multitask and work collaboratively as part of a team
  • caring and compassionate attitude for others

Job Duties

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff
  • assist executive chef with daily culinary and administrative tasks
  • follow directives assigned by executive and assistant director
  • assist with maintaining order and discipline in kitchen
  • manage record keeping and inventory
  • oversee purchase orders
  • perform executive chef duties in their absence
  • become proficient in all kitchen sanctions
  • cross-train and train new and existing culinary staff on preparation, arrangement, and plating
  • maintain comfort, privacy, and dignity of residents
