Job Requirements
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- high school diploma, GED, or 1-3 months related experience or training preferred
- must submit and pass all applicable pre-employment and annual tests
- meet all training and other applicable state and federal guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Experience in a manager, assistant manager, and/or supervisor role
- experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, cooking, plating, culinary arts, and/or hospitality preferred
- strong customer service focus
- excellent communication skills
- ability to multitask and work collaboratively as part of a team
- caring and compassionate attitude for others
Job Duties
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff
- assist executive chef with daily culinary and administrative tasks
- follow directives assigned by executive and assistant director
- assist with maintaining order and discipline in kitchen
- manage record keeping and inventory
- oversee purchase orders
- perform executive chef duties in their absence
- become proficient in all kitchen sanctions
- cross-train and train new and existing culinary staff on preparation, arrangement, and plating
- maintain comfort, privacy, and dignity of residents
