Job Description

Naked Farmer is a pioneering farm-to-table restaurant group with multiple locations across Florida, North Carolina, and Nashville, dedicated to serving scratch-made, healthy, and affordable meals sourced directly from local farms. The company celebrates seasonal vegetables and embraces innovation, aiming to create a sustainable food system that strengthens the connection between farmers and the community. Founded during a global pandemic, Naked Farmer has demonstrated resilience and transparency, delivering fresh food from farm to doorstep while telling the story of the farmers behind their local food supply. As the brand grows rapidly, it is committed to becoming 100 percent locally-sourced and is currently expanding by opening new locations and supporting local farmers, communities, and chefs. Employees benefit from a vibrant work culture, enjoy complimentary meals daily, and have opportunities for career progression within a growing company.

The Sous Chef position at Naked Farmer is a crucial leadership role within our culinary team. The successful candidate will help foster culinary and hospitality excellence in a scratch-based kitchen environment by supporting Restaurant Leaders and mentoring the team. As a Sous Chef, you will demonstrate a passion for cooking with high standards, consistently executing recipes, processes, and kitchen procedures to maintain quality and consistency across all stations. Your leadership will be instrumental in training new and existing culinary team members, leading shifts during peak service periods, resolving guest concerns, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This role requires a proactive mentor who is passionate about developing culinary talent and maintaining an enthusiasm for real, good food.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, including coordinating prep lists, managing food inventory, maintaining food safety protocols, and ensuring efficient stock management. Your ability to communicate effectively and lead by example will inspire your team to uphold the highest standards in food preparation and hospitality. The position offers a collaborative and supportive environment where your dedication to mentoring and culinary craftsmanship will shine. If you seek a dynamic role in a growing company with a mission to build a better food system and empower the next generation of chefs, Naked Farmer provides the ideal platform to develop your career while contributing to a meaningful cause.
