The role of Sous Chef at Eurest is a fantastic opportunity for an energetic and entrepreneurial culinary professional seeking to advance their career in a fast-growing company. The Sous Chef plays a pivotal role in the successful operation of the Culinary Department within a facility, assisting the Executive Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations, supervising hourly associates, and overseeing food preparation and cooking. This position involves developing and executing daily menus, ensuring excellent presentation and garnishment while adhering to strict quality, sanitation, and food safety standards. The Sous Chef will also support cost control measures and expenditure management, help plan and create menus, and be actively involved in producing and executing catering events.

This position offers the chance to contribute to new culinary program rollouts alongside the company’s marketing and culinary teams, bringing innovation and creativity to Eurest’s food services. The Sous Chef role requires a comprehensive understanding of high-volume food service operations, institutional and batch cooking experience, and catering expertise, ideally paired with significant kitchen management experience. Candidates should have broad knowledge of food trends, production, sanitation, and cost control, as well as proficiency with computer software such as Microsoft Office and Outlook.

This role offers a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $80,000, with eligibility for an Employee Referral Bonus. Job Requirements

  • Must have A.S. degree or equivalent experience
  • Must have experience in culinary or kitchen management
  • Must be experienced with catering operations
  • Must be knowledgeable in food safety and sanitation
  • Must be proficient with computers including Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Must be willing to participate in client satisfaction programs
  • ServSafe certification highly desirable
