Job Requirements

  • valid associate of science degree or equivalent experience
  • proven experience in culinary or kitchen management
  • ability to manage high volume foodservice operations
  • familiarity with catering operations
  • strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • readiness to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
  • ServSafe certification is highly desirable

Job Qualifications

  • associate of science degree or equivalent experience
  • progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • catering experience is a plus
  • experience with high volume, complex foodservice operations preferred
  • knowledge of institutional and batch cooking is helpful
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • proficient with computer applications including Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • highly desirable to be ServSafe certified

Job Duties

  • assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures
  • assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • produce and execute catering events
  • roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • supervise hourly associates in the culinary department
  • develop daily menu items and ensure their quality and garnishment
  • assist with food ordering and inventory management
