The role of Kitchen Manager at The Grove Wine Bar & Kitchen is an exciting opportunity for qualified candidates who are passionate about food, wine, and excellent customer service. This position requires candidates to have 2-3+ years of stable work history in a kitchen management role and to be bilingual, enhancing communication within the diverse team and customer base. Proficiency in Italian, Mediterranean, and American cuisine is essential, along with staying current with food trends and culinary innovations. Flexibility with scheduling is necessary to adapt to the dynamic needs of the restaurant. The Kitchen Manager will be deeply involved in the operational aspects of the kitchen, ensuring that food quality remains consistent, and that the kitchen staff operates efficiently and harmoniously. This hands-on manager will lead a team of 25 or more kitchen staff, requiring excellent leadership skills and the ability to maintain professionalism and calm under pressure.
The manager will also be responsible for critical administrative duties including ordering food and supplies, managing inventory, scheduling shifts, and training staff to uphold standards of quality and consistency. They will work closely with front-of-house and back-of-house management teams as well as ownership to align kitchen operations with overall restaurant goals. The role also demands basic computer skills, particularly proficiency in Excel, to manage schedules and inventory effectively. Reporting directly to the Chef and General Manager daily, the Kitchen Manager will play a pivotal role in the operational success and guest satisfaction at The Grove Wine Bar & Kitchen.
