Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a culinary supervisory role
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation procedures
- Ability to supervise and lead kitchen staff
- Familiarity with dietary requirements in a senior living setting
- Strong organizational and communication skills

- Commitment to quality and compliance with health regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a sous chef or in a similar supervisory culinary role
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Familiarity with special diets and dietary restrictions
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Knowledge of HACCP and local food codes
- Experience in menu planning and inventory management
Job Duties
- Verify ingredients are fresh and properly stored
- Ensure allergen control measures are followed including labeling and separation
- Supervise all daily food production and kitchen staff
- Monitor and enforce proper handwashing and glove use
- Inspect cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen surfaces and equipment
- Oversee cooking processes ensuring portion sizes, recipe adherence, and cooking temperatures
- Coordinate meal service ensuring timely plating, tray accuracy and quality control
- Oversee dishwashing procedures and cleanliness of workstations and equipment
- Manage waste disposal and record any unusual waste trends
- Conduct inventory checks and report equipment issues
- Complete daily logs including temperatures, cleaning, and incident reports
- Brief staff on plans and provide performance feedback or training
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Schedule and conduct staff training
- Communicate with dietitians, nursing staff, and administration
- Evaluate workflow efficiency and resident satisfaction
