The role offered is a full-time culinary leadership position with a starting salary of $52,000. This position involves providing daily supervision and hands-on support to kitchen team members, aligning with operational goals surrounding performance, quality, and profitability. The successful candidate will work closely with culinary leadership to coordinate staff, oversee menu production, and ensure kitchens are fully stocked, organized, and ready for efficient service. A critical component of the role is enforcing company policies related to safety, sanitation, and conduct consistently to maintain high standards and regulatory compliance.
In addition to overseeing daily kitchen operations and compliance with food safety and health regulations, this role requires monitoring budgets, controlling costs, managing inventory, and reducing waste to meet departmental financial objectives. The leader will demonstrate superior customer service standards, proactively addressing service and performance issues. They will also be responsible for maintaining strict control over food products, including proper handling of banquet foods, transfers, spoilage, and disposal.
Administrative responsibilities include tracking attendance, documentation, reporting, and ensuring that all kitchen documentation – such as temperature logs and sanitation records – are accurate and complete. The role demands effective response to emergencies, including equipment failures, power outages, and medical incidents, following established protocols to maintain kitchen safety and continuity. Job Requirements
- must be at least 21 years of age
- associate's degree in culinary arts or related field preferred or minimum two years of culinary experience with equivalent combination of education and experience
- minimum of one year of supervisory or lead culinary experience required
- prior experience in a high-volume multi-outlet hotel or casino food and beverage operation preferred
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- proficiency in microsoft office applications including excel word and outlook
- working knowledge of labor management productivity standards scheduling and overtime control
- demonstrated ability to analyze basic financial and operational metrics
- proven ability to interact professionally with guests team members and leadership
- flexibility to work varying shifts including nights weekends holidays and overtime
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- provide daily supervision and guidance to kitchen team members supporting operational goals related to performance quality and profitability
- enforce company departmental safety sanitation and conduct policies consistently and in real time
- coordinate staffing and scheduling needs with culinary leadership to support service demands and guest satisfaction
- produce menu items according to established recipes and prep lists ensuring kitchens are stocked organized and ready for service
- support departmental budget compliance through cost control inventory monitoring par management and waste reduction
- actively demonstrate and enforce superior customer service standards and address service or performance issues as they arise
- maintain strict control over food products including proper handling of banquet food transfers spoilage waste and disposal
- assist culinary leadership with administrative responsibilities such as attendance tracking documentation and reporting
- ensure adherence to quality assurance food safety and health department standards across all assigned kitchen areas
- oversee completion and accuracy of required kitchen documentation including temperature logs sanitation records opening and closing checklists waste tracking and incident reports
- respond effectively to emergencies such as equipment failures power outages medical incidents fire alarms or unexpected volume surges and escalating issues per protocol
- maintain strict confidentiality of all departmental employee and company information
- perform additional job related duties as assigned to support efficient kitchen operations
