We are currently hiring immediately for a full-time Sous Chef position located at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital in Katy, Texas. The position offers a competitive pay range of $24.00 to $26.00 per hour, with a flexible schedule that includes varying days and hours. As a Sous Chef with Morrison Healthcare, you will play an instrumental role in assisting the Executive Chef with the preparation and cooking of foods, as well as coordinating the activities of cooks and other food service associates. You will assume responsibility for the kitchen and staff in the Executive Chef’s absence, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires previous food service, culinary, and management experience to uphold the quality and safety standards expected in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

In this role, you are responsible for cooking and preparing food according to approved recipes and production standards, supervising hourly food service associates through activities such as interviewing, scheduling, training, counseling, and payroll management. You will also ensure the proper storage of food following corporate, state, and federal safety regulations, maintain sanitation of equipment and workstations, and ensure all food items are presented with appropriate portion control and serving temperatures. Customer interaction to resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner is also essential, alongside inventory tracking and management to avoid supply shortages.

Job Duties
