As part of a global team of more than 31,000 passionate professionals, Morrison Healthcare is dedicated to delivering culinary excellence, nutritional expertise, and exceptional operational support to health systems across the United States. The company’s mission is to nourish patients, caregivers, and communities by providing meals that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and taste. At Morrison Healthcare, the culture is centered around caring for people, fostering a sense of belonging, and creating meaningful moments that positively impact the lives of those they serve. The company empowers its diverse workforce—which includes 1,600 registered dietitians and 1,200 executive chefs—to work collaboratively, take ownership of their commitments, and contribute to the collective success by realizing their full potential.

The full-time Sous Chef position available at Morrison Healthcare’s THOP Sierra location in El Paso, TX, offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals committed to healthcare foodservice. This role requires five years of prior cooking experience in a healthcare setting, ensuring that candidates are well-versed in the specific demands and standards of the industry. Working full time from Monday through Friday with some weekend hours, the Sous Chef will play a vital role in managing kitchen operations to ensure all food production deadlines are met, inventory is properly maintained, and customer satisfaction is a top priority. Morrison Healthcare offers a competitive fixed pay rate of $20.00 per hour for this role, reflecting the importance of culinary leadership in a healthcare context. Beyond compensation, team members benefit from a comprehensive suite of employee programs designed to promote health, wellness, financial security, and work-life balance.

The Sous Chef will be entrusted with ensuring the proper storage of food, mastering portion controls, maintaining appropriate serving temperatures, and keeping the kitchen and display areas clean and operational in compliance with all corporate, state, and federal regulations. Additionally, this position requires excellent communication skills to interact with customers and resolve any concerns promptly in a professional and service-oriented manner. Candidates with a strong understanding of daily menu items and culinary techniques will thrive in this role while contributing to the ongoing success and reputation of Morrison Healthcare.

Joining Morrison Healthcare means becoming part of an inclusive environment that values diversity and equal opportunity. The company commits to fair treatment of all applicants and associates without discrimination based on race, national origin, sex, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected classification. Furthermore, Morrison Healthcare maintains a drug-free workplace and complies with all applicable background screening requirements. If you are passionate about culinary arts and healthcare service and want to make a real difference in the community while growing your career, this Sous Chef position is an excellent fit. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until all openings are filled, welcoming motivated individuals eager to bring their skills and dedication to a recognized industry leader.
