Currently, Eurest is hiring a full-time Sous Chef at the Charles Schwab location in Austin, Texas. This role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $23.00 to $24.50, based on experience and qualifications. The working schedule is Monday through Friday, with variable hours, providing a balanced work-life arrangement. As a pivotal culinary leadership role, the Sous Chef position supports the Executive Chef in food preparation and kitchen management. Job Duties
- Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and production standards
- ensure all deadlines are met based on production orders
- supervise hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action
- store food in designated areas following corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils and clean workstation thoroughly
- keep display equipment clean during meal service to comply with sanitation, safety, production and merchandising requirements
- interact with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- relay relevant information to supervisor
- demonstrate complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to associates and customers
- monitor inventory and deliveries of product and supplies
- track product production, consumption, and waste
- inform supervisor when supplies or product are low
- perform other duties as assigned
