Currently, Eurest is hiring for a full-time Sous Chef position located at RTV - 1151 E Hermans Road, Tucson, AZ. This role is integral to the kitchen team, providing essential support to the Executive Chef while ensuring smooth operations and high culinary standards. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday with hours possibly varying each day, offering a work-life balance that excludes night shifts and weekend work. The fixed pay rate for the role is $23.50 per hour, reflecting the company’s commitment to competitive compensation for culinary professionals.
As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking food, ensuring that production meets quality standards and deadlines. You will have supervisory responsibilities including managing cooks and food service associates, including interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance management. Maintaining food safety, sanitation, and presentation standards is paramount, as is inventory tracking and managing food supplies to optimize production and minimize waste. The role requires excellent communication skills to interact with customers and resolve complaints professionally. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in high-volume food production
- Availability to work full-time Monday through Friday
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Compliance with all food safety regulations

Job Duties
- Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
- Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
- Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary actions
- Stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils and cleans workstation thoroughly
- Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to associates and customers
- Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies
- Tracks product production, consumption, and waste
- Informs supervisor when supplies or products are low
- Performs other duties as assigned
