Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior supervisory, lead, inventory, and ordering experience preferred
  • Ability to work full-time hours Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
  • Willingness to work weekends as needed
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen duties
  • Must comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers and resolve complaints
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • Prior supervisory or lead experience in a kitchen or food-service setting
  • Experience with inventory management and ordering
  • Ability to follow approved recipes and maintain production standards
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Customer service skills and ability to interact positively with customers
  • Ability to manage scheduling, payroll, and training of staff

Job Duties

  • Help Executive Chef prepare and cook foods
  • Coordinate activities of cooks and other food-service associates
  • Assume responsibility for kitchen and food-service associates in absence of Executive Chef
  • Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and production standards
  • Ensure all deadlines are met based on production orders
  • Supervise hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews and recommending disciplinary action
  • Store food in designated areas following all corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
  • Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils
  • Clean workstation thoroughly before leaving area
  • Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
  • Interact with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Relay relevant information directly to supervisor
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to associates and customers
  • Monitor inventory and deliveries of product and supplies
  • Track product production, consumption and waste
  • Inform supervisor when supplies or product are low
  • Perform other duties as assigned
