Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • two years of previous cooking and management experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
  • ability to work varied schedules including nights and weekends
  • strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation procedures
  • ability to manage kitchen staff and food service operations
  • effective communication and problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • two years of cooking and management experience in a healthcare setting preferred

  • leadership and team management skills
  • ability to supervise and train staff effectively
  • strong communication and customer service skills
  • understanding of inventory management and food production tracking
  • ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
  • supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action as appropriate
  • stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
  • maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils and cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving area
  • interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner and relays relevant information to supervisor
  • monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies, tracks product production, consumption and waste and informs supervisor when supplies or product are low
  • performs other duties as assigned
