Job Description

McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality (MML) is a distinguished hospitality group renowned for crafting some of the world's most memorable dining and lodging experiences. Founded by industry visionaries Larry McGuire, Tom Moorman, and Liz Lambert, MML takes pride in its refined, character-driven approach to hospitality, where creativity, quality, and a strong sense of place converge to create extraordinary experiences. The company is known for its innovative restaurants and hotels that combine exceptional cuisine, inspired design, impeccable service, and authentic storytelling into seamless, captivating environments.

One of the celebrated establishments within the MML family is Elizabeth Street Café, a charming neighborhood Vietnamese café and French bakery that exudes warmth through its sunny dining rooms and tranquil garden patio. The café’s menu is a vibrant blend of homemade croissants, freshly baked banh mì baguettes, steaming bowls of phở, spicy curries, and daily rotating macaron flavors. Complementing the food offerings are carefully selected beverages including Stumptown coffee, Kronenbourg on tap, and inventive cocktails, making Elizabeth Street Café a beloved community gathering spot.

The role of Sous Chef at MML Hospitality is a critical leadership position at the heart of the kitchen team, responsible for upholding the highest standards of culinary excellence and operational efficiency. The Sous Chef works closely with the Executive Chef to lead the daily kitchen operations, ensuring flawless execution of the menu, consistent quality and presentation of dishes, and a kitchen environment anchored in professionalism and respect. This role demands hands-on involvement, including training, preparation, and service execution, and cultivates a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

As a dynamic, expanding hospitality group, MML offers exciting career growth opportunities for motivated individuals. The Sous Chef will play an integral part in shaping kitchen culture while collaborating across departments to guarantee excellent guest experiences. This position requires a blend of culinary expertise, operational oversight, team leadership, and financial acumen to not only meet but exceed performance goals. The hire will benefit from a competitive salary, bonus potential, and comprehensive benefits alongside a workplace culture that values mentorship and development.

In sum, joining MML Hospitality as a Sous Chef means becoming part of a prestigious hospitality group dedicated to innovation, quality, and memorable experiences. It is an opportunity to enhance culinary skills, lead a talented team, and contribute to a vibrant, collaborative work environment with the support of a company deeply committed to its people and its craft.
