We are currently seeking dedicated culinary professionals to fill the roles of Sous Chef or Chef de Partie, with the specific position determined by the candidate's experience. This full-time, year-round opportunity offers a flexible schedule that includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with competitive compensation ranging from $22 to $26 per hour. The Sous Chef or Chef de Partie will be instrumental in maintaining Oak Hill's culinary standards by preparing and executing high-quality dishes with precision and consistency. The role involves leading a designated kitchen station or assisting in managing multiple culinary operations. Candidates will support daily service, ensuring that every meal meets the club’s high standards for presentation and flavor. Additionally, the role requires assisting with menu execution, recipe consistency, quality control, and food presentation.
Training and mentoring junior culinary staff and line cooks is a vital component of the position, reflecting Oak Hill’s commitment to developing culinary talent and fostering a positive, team-oriented environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen, supporting inventory management, ordering processes, and promoting food cost awareness as well as waste reduction. Strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards is mandatory.
Collaboration with the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine is essential in continuously enhancing the member dining experience. Job Requirements
- Previous experience as a sous chef, chef de partie, lead line cook, or similar culinary leadership role
- Passion for scratch cooking and producing exceptional food
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Commitment to consistency, cleanliness, and attention to detail
- Culinary degree preferred but not required
- Positive team-first leadership style
