Job Description

The Heritage at Brentwood is a premier senior living community dedicated to offering top-quality services and exceptional southern hospitality to its senior residents and their guests. This establishment distinguishes itself by combining a comfortable living environment with fine and casual dining options that cater specifically to the tastes and needs of seniors. The Heritage at Brentwood operates with a commitment to providing a respectful and enjoyable atmosphere where every resident feels valued and well cared for. The dining experiences are crafted to not only nourish but also to offer a social setting that promotes warmth and community spirit. This senior living community values diversity and inclusivity, welcoming individuals from all backgrounds who share a passion for excellent service and engagement with seniors. With a focus on delivering a better working environment than traditional hotels and restaurants, The Heritage at Brentwood provides its employees with fair wages and manages to cultivate a workplace committed to mutual respect and continuous growth.

Within this remarkable community, two main dining venues serve residents and guests with culinary excellence. Fireside Grille, a contemporary restaurant, features wood-fired cuisine alongside American classics and comfort foods, available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On the other hand, Southern Oak presents an authentic steakhouse dining experience. It is known for an elegant atmosphere and exquisite steaks, serving dinner Monday through Friday. These restaurants are central to The Heritage at Brentwood’s vision of creating memorable dining experiences that complement the high standard of living it maintains.

The open position is for a full-time cook role situated within these dining establishments, primarily focused on preparing high-quality dishes that meet the standards set by the Executive Chef. This role includes a variety of responsibilities such as prep work according to specialized recipes, cooperative work with culinary and front-of-house staff, and ensuring food quality, presentation, and sanitation standards are consistently met. The cook is integral in maintaining the smooth operation of the kitchen by managing supply needs, adhering to hygiene protocols, and following workplace policies. Employees in this role benefit from a comprehensive package including medical, dental, and vision care, paid time off, retirement plans, and unique perks like a daily pay option and employee referral bonuses.

The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of two years' experience in a kitchen environment such as hotels, restaurants, or country clubs, with a preference for those who possess culinary education and prior supervisory experience. Strong communication skills, knowledge of safe equipment handling, and required ServSafe certification are crucial for success in this role. The workplace emphasizes a high level of professionalism, safety, and teamwork to deliver exceptional food service to senior residents in a nurturing, respectful environment. This job opportunity at The Heritage at Brentwood is an excellent fit for dedicated culinary professionals who seek stability, a positive work culture, and the chance to impact the lives of seniors by enhancing their dining experience.
