With a strong commitment to quality, integrity, and community, Concord Hospitality has established itself as a leader in the hospitality industry. The company values its associates highly, emphasizing a supportive and inclusive culture that fosters growth, development, and a great work environment for all employees. Known for its emphasis on profit alongside community and fun, Concord Hospitality is a workplace where professionalism meets passion, ensuring both guest satisfaction and employee well-being.
Currently, Concord Hospitality is seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join its dynamic culinary team. This full-time role, with a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $65,000 annually, offers the opportunity to contribute to the company’s mission of providing high-quality culinary experiences while cultivating a positive and empowering workplace culture. The Sous Chef plays a critical role in leading the kitchen team, maintaining high standards of food quality, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations aligned with Concord’s values. As a leader within the kitchen, the Sous Chef is responsible for inspiring and mentoring team members, fostering a professional environment where associates can thrive both personally and professionally.
The Sous Chef is entrusted with a variety of important responsibilities including training kitchen associates on their job duties, plate presentation, and all aspects of culinary processes to maintain the highest standards of food preparation. Scheduling and staff management are integral parts of the role, requiring clear and open communication between management and associates. Providing necessary tools and equipment for the team to perform effectively, proactively addressing kitchen issues, and participating in departmental meetings and inventory management are key elements of daily duties.
Quality control is paramount in this role. The Sous Chef ensures all food served meets rigorous standards and is prepared on time, following specified recipes. Leadership extends beyond food preparation; the Sous Chef supports goal setting and standards to enhance the kitchen’s efficiency and profitability. In the absence of the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef also supervises kitchen staff, utility, and sanitation associates, maintaining operational continuity and excellence.
Ideal candidates will bring previous kitchen leadership experience, display strong culinary skills, and demonstrate the ability to train, motivate, and manage a diverse team. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential to succeed in this role, along with a deep sense of professionalism, integrity, and pride in delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
Concord Hospitality offers an array of benefits to full-time associates, including competitive wages, comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, tuition assistance, discounted hotel stays, extensive training and career development opportunities, and eligibility for performance-based bonuses. These benefits, coupled with a supportive and inclusive culture built around the company’s five Cornerstones of Quality, Integrity, Community, Profitability, and Fun, make Concord Hospitality an exceptional place to grow one’s culinary career.
