Job Duties

  • Lead a small team in supporting and servicing daily kitchen activities
  • execute well-defined work assignments subject to moderate control and review
  • assist Executive Chef in meeting and exceeding food budget and goals
  • ensure all kitchen staff are trained on dish specifications
  • order food products to appropriate levels
  • prepare food for service appropriate to sales levels
  • monitor and control stock levels and ensure stock rotation
  • lead by example setting pace and standards
  • manage disciplinary issues with Executive Chef or General Manager
  • communicate via team meetings and training sessions
  • promote a vision of success
  • conduct daily line checks and tasting
  • ensure timely and correct food presentation
  • ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
  • maintain adequate kitchen stock
  • respect all coworkers and managers
  • promote a positive perception of the company internally and publicly
  • have fun with a positive attitude to create memorable guest experiences
