Grand Hyatt DFW is currently seeking a talented and motivated Banquet Sous Chef to join its culinary leadership team. This role is pivotal in supporting the execution of exceptional banquet and catering culinary operations, ensuring that every event—from meetings and conferences to weddings and large-scale special occasions—is delivered with impeccable food quality, presentation, and service. As a Banquet Sous Chef, you will collaborate closely with the Executive Sous Chef and culinary leadership to oversee daily banquet kitchen operations, supervising culinary staff during preparation, production, plating, and event execution.

Job Qualifications
- Previous culinary leadership experience required, preferably as a sous chef or jr. sous chef in a hotel, banquet, catering, or high-volume kitchen environment
- strong banquet production experience preferred

- proven knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, sanitation, and safety practices
- ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards
- strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple events and production timelines simultaneously

Job Duties
- Support senior leadership by developing and assuming basic management responsibilities
- assume the role of liaison between all departments within the culinary division and all other hotel departments
- supervise the preparation and cooking of various food items
- develop and implement creative menu items that adhere to Hyatt brand standards
- plan, coordinate & implement special events and holiday functions
- manage hourly kitchen employees through scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluating and hiring
- lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results
- monitor food production, ordering, cost, and quality and consistency on a daily basis
- ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment
