Flik Hospitality Group is a distinguished name in the hospitality industry, known for its commitment to excellence, innovation, and the highest standards of service. Operating as a prominent division of Compass Group USA, Flik has cultivated a reputation for delivering exceptional corporate dining experiences in various esteemed corporate environments. As a company, Flik places a strong emphasis on people — their passion, skills, and dedication, recognizing that the success of their operations depends largely on the quality of their associates. By focusing on hiring individuals who share a genuine passion for food and hospitality, Flik ensures a dynamic and motivated workforce. Associates are continuously encouraged and recognized for their contributions, receiving hands-on training and education about the latest culinary trends to stay at the forefront of the hospitality industry. This approach transforms a job at Flik from just an occupation to a flourishing career opportunity, where employees can grow, innovate, and succeed in the fast-paced foodservice environment.
The role of Sous Chef at Flik Hospitality Group, based in Boston, MA, is a pivotal position within the Culinary Department of a high-volume, premier corporate dining facility. This role demands a strong leader who can effectively oversee day-to-day culinary operations, assist in the creation and execution of innovative menus, and ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation. A Sous Chef at Flik not only supervises food preparation and cooking activities but also plays a significant role in managing catering events that elevate the dining experience for clients. The position requires collaboration with the Executive Chef, offering leadership and support in managing costs, ordering supplies, and training associates. Those in this role must be flexible with working hours, able to accommodate early morning shifts as well as late evenings, reflecting the comprehensive nature of the catering and foodservice operations.
In this role, the Sous Chef contributes to rolling out new culinary programs developed by Flik’s marketing and culinary teams, ensuring that these programs meet the evolving tastes and expectations of clients. Catering experience is a key requirement, as the position involves managing complex catering functions and batch cooking in a high-volume setting. The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of progressive culinary and kitchen management experience, coupled with proficiency in quality control, food safety, sanitation, and cost management. Computer literacy, including skills in Microsoft Office and email communications, is also essential. The opportunity to join Flik comes with a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $70,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that supports employee health, wellness, and personal growth.
