Job Duties
- prepares food items for various areas like the cold case, salad bar, and hot bar, following production sheets and recipes
- ensures food quality, consistency, and freshness by following recipes, labeling, dating, and rotating items
- monitors food levels, replenishes supplies, and manages inventory
- supervises and trains assistant chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff
- may assist with customer service, answering questions, and providing excellent service
- maintains a clean and sanitary work environment, ensuring adherence to health and sanitation standards
- maximizes sales by ensuring proper stocking, merchandising, and rotation of products
