At Allianz Field in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Delaware North manages food and retail services within this state-of-the-art 19,400-seat Major League Soccer stadium, home to Minnesota United. The Sous Chef role at Delaware North’s Allianz Field location presents an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals eager to advance their leadership skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef supports all culinary operations with a strong focus on banquet event orders, large-scale food production, and the orchestration of logistics to ensure flawless service delivery. This role requires overseeing a diverse culinary team, driving high standards in food quality, consistency, and presentation, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. As a key member of the kitchen management team, the Sous Chef collaborates closely with the Executive Chef on menu design and recipe development, incorporating expertise in costing and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years culinary experience with management responsibility in large production or high-volume kitchen
- Proven leadership skills in managing banquet event orders and large-scale food production
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation requirements
- Ability to train and mentor culinary staff effectively
- Proficiency in computer skills such as Word and Excel
- Must be able to work flexible hours including days evenings weekends holidays and events
- Ability to obtain necessary food safety certifications
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of culinary experience with previous management responsibilities in a large production kitchen or high-volume food and beverage operation
- Experience managing banquet event orders leading food production and logistics for high-volume events and seamless event execution
- Exceptional skills in high-volume cooking food presentation and precise recipe adherence with the ability to lead coach and motivate a diverse team
- Knowledge of best practices for monitoring food and labor cost menu development costing ordering inventory and food safety and sanitation
- Proficient computer skills including Word and Excel
- Ability to obtain ServSafe Food Safety Handler and Training for Intervention Procedures certifications
- Capacity to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business levels
Job Duties
- Supervise and lead the culinary team ensuring production efficiency culinary techniques adherence to recipe standards and high-quality food preparation
- Assist in hiring training and mentoring team members while creating a cohesive work environment
- Support food and labor cost management assist with schedules oversee inventory control and manage ordering and receiving processes
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team in menu design and recipe development utilizing expertise in costing and writing bulk recipes
- Maintain a safe sanitary and organized kitchen that complies with state and local health department regulations and company policies
