Job Requirements

  • minimum of 3 years experience as a sous chef or equivalent role
  • culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • proven success as a Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume upscale restaurant or high end resort restaurant
  • strong passion for culinary excellence
  • wine knowledge and service skills
  • proven ability to develop a team
  • knowledge of systems, methods and processes contributing to great execution
  • stable job history demonstrating upward career progression

Job Duties

  • support the Executive Chef in leading a team of culinary professionals
  • ensure proper food safety and sanitation procedures are followed
  • contribute to building top line sales and guest count through excellent team and guest experience
  • support menu item execution with excellence
  • manage quality in all aspects of culinary operations
  • assist in training and developing kitchen staff
  • oversee daily kitchen operations to maintain high standards
