We are currently looking to hire a full-time Sous Chef who will play a critical role under the leadership of our executive chef. The work schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, from 5:00 pm to 1:30 am, and compensation is set at a competitive hourly rate of $22. The Sous Chef plays an instrumental role in the day-to-day operations of our kitchen. This position is responsible for supervising and managing all food preparation activities, ensuring our high culinary standards are met consistently. The Sous Chef acts as a hands-on leader who leads by example, mentoring and guiding the kitchen staff while sharing their culinary expertise. The role demands a goal-oriented individual who works diligently to enhance both guest satisfaction and staff performance, all while adhering to the restaurant's operating budget.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a leadership role
- Current valid food handler’s permit or ability to obtain within 7 days
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work evening shifts Wednesday through Saturday
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods
- Passion for barbeque cuisine and teamwork
Job Qualifications
- 21 plus years of age
- Ability to acquire a Salt Lake County Health Department Food Handler's Permit within 7 days of hire
- Proven culinary skills and leadership experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
