The Sous Chef position at Perry's is a pivotal role designed for culinary professionals ready to take their skills to the next level while actively contributing to a collaborative kitchen environment. This full-time role offers an annual salary ranging between $65,000 and $70,000, commensurate with experience, education, and skill level. Serving as an integral part of the kitchen management team, the Sous Chef works directly alongside the Executive Chef and General Manager to oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, food preparation, and service quality. The role demands a hands-on approach, requiring you to butcher all proteins, ensure the precise and visually appealing presentation of all menu items, and uphold the highest standards of food quality and accuracy. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years culinary experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including day, evening, night, weekends and holidays
  • Strong commitment to quality and team collaboration
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and a welcoming attitude
  • Physical ability to butcher proteins and perform kitchen duties
  • Capability to manage paperwork, inventory and labor effectively

Job Duties

  • Manage all aspects of kitchen, food prep and service operations alongside Executive Chef and General Manager
  • Responsible for accurate creation and presentation of all food items served to guests
  • Insure quality and accuracy in preparation of all menu items
  • Butcher all proteins
  • Execute all paperwork associated with Chef position
  • Learn and be able to execute all kitchen positions effectively with the ability to teach, and assist staff members
  • Manage back of house labor, meeting Perry's goals and guest requirements
  • Responsible for ordering, stocking and managing inventory levels and quality
  • Maintain a professional and welcoming attitude while at work
