Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years culinary experience
  • supervisory experience in kitchen operations
  • knowledge of food safety regulations
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to perform kitchen duties

Job Qualifications

  • experience in a supervisory role in a culinary setting
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • ability to prepare food according to standardized recipes
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • culinary certification or culinary degree preferred
  • experience working in a healthcare or senior living environment preferred

Job Duties

  • assist the Executive Chef in coordinating food preparation and presentation
  • supervise kitchen staff
  • ensure sanitation standards are met
  • prepare food using standardized recipes and proper methods
  • manage serving portion requirements
  • maintain meal schedules
  • oversee proper storage of raw and prepared food
  • supervise kitchen cleaning requirements
