Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of culinary or food service experience
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA and Health Department regulations
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work under pressure during peak hours
- Compliance with dress code and safety protocols
- Willingness to adhere to health, safety, environment, and quality policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a supervisory kitchen role
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP standards
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff
- Familiarity with inventory management and budgeting
- Experience with food preparation and presentation techniques
- Customer service experience
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Basic computer skills for administrative tasks
Job Duties
- Provide highest quality of service according to ISS/Guckenheimer and client standards
- Utilize food preparation procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines
- Assist Executive Chef with administrative duties including attendance and human resources
- Monitor and review HACCP logs
- Assemble ready-to-eat menu items following ISS/GEI standards for presentation, packaging, and labels
- Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment following ISS/Guckenheimer and government regulations
- Support management with monthly inventory
- Notify management of any concerns regarding product quantities, food/equipment safety, or other management issues
- Attend all daily meetings
- Report all accidents and injuries timely
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Ensure high quality food is creatively prepared and presented cost-effectively
- Adhere to Guckenheimer’s food standards and sustainability commitments
- Collaborate with management to meet display, catering, and café service standards
- Properly dispose of kitchen waste sustainably
- Train and supervise staff
- Enforce uniform standards per employee handbook and account guidelines
- Assist with staff reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions
- Document all training standards for direct hires
- Represent company courteously and professionally
- Resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner
- Communicate accurately and timely with clients
- Review weekly participation and recommend food budget adjustments
- Maintain labor costs within budget forecasts
- Ensure weekly food costs meet budget goals
- Oversee café appearance and upkeep
- Supervise food presentation and décor
- Edit daily signage for accuracy, allergens, and descriptions
