Job Requirements

  • ServSafe Certified
  • Minimum 2 years kitchen supervisory experience
  • Minimum 3 years kitchen operations experience including 1 year as lead cook and 1 year as steward
  • Culinary Arts degree or equivalent apprenticeship or AOS Degree
  • Ability to work second shift
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Must be able to prep food using standardized techniques

Job Qualifications

  • ACF Certification
  • Culinary Arts degree or apprenticeship or Associate of Science Degree
  • Minimum 2 years kitchen supervisory experience
  • Minimum 3 years kitchen operations experience including 1 year in lead cook position and 1 year in steward position
  • ServSafe Certified
  • Ability to lead and manage kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines

Job Duties

  • Observe workers engaged in preparing, portioning, and garnishing foods to ensure cooking methods and portion sizes comply with standards
  • Give instructions to cooking personnel on fine points of cooking
  • Cook and carve meats, prepare dishes such as sauces during rush periods and for banquets and social functions
  • Assume responsibility for the kitchen in absence of the Chef, planning, organizing, and preparing all meals
  • Prep food products using standardized food preparation techniques
  • Recognize food condition and cooking temperatures
  • Coordinate activities of cooks and kitchen workers
