Job Requirements
- Education or certification in culinary arts or related field
- three to five years of commercial cooking experience
- knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene standards
- ability to lead and manage kitchen staff
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
- strong communication skills

- ability to maintain quality and safety standards
- experience in inventory management and cost control
Job Qualifications
- Three to five years of experience in commercial cooking or apprenticeship or certification from culinary school
- knowledge of food and hygiene regulations including HACCP
- understanding and demonstration of financial controls to keep food costs within budget and minimize waste
- good communication and organizational skills
- service orientation
- leadership skills
- good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications
Job Duties
- Executes and supervises food production activities such as proper cleaning, cutting, marinating, seasoning and cooking of food items
- assumes responsibilities of Executive Chef when not available including vacation and off-days and menu presentation to customers
- supervises, coordinates and controls kitchen helpers in food storage maintaining tidiness and following the first in - first out principle
- conducts, coordinates and supervises inventories
- monitors material consumption and orders required food and equipment daily to satisfy production plans
- participates in development of food products and menus for presentations
- stays updated with content in catering manuals and conducts updates
- executes countermeasures for customer complaints in production
- supports training of kitchen helpers
- maintains and monitors hygiene, health and safety standards ensuring HACCP regulations adherence
- conducts quality control checks and quality checks of goods received
- monitors and ensures compliance with recipe specifications
- organizes, staffs and directs area of responsibility
- guides, motivates and develops subordinate employees in line with Human Resources Policy
- promotes company values and management principles in the department
- implements and controls cost budget and initiates corrective actions as needed
- participates and supports company sponsored initiatives such as Global Quality Standard, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing
