Job Description

Sixty is a unique dining establishment celebrated as the 'winemaker's restaurant,' where exceptional food, fine wine, and excellent company come together to create unforgettable moments. At Sixty, guests are invited to experience wine country-inspired cuisine meticulously paired with an impressive selection of 60 wines served through a sustainable tap system. This innovative approach allows patrons to be transported to the greatest wine regions around the globe with thoughtfully curated pours and pairings specifically tailored to individual palates. With a strong commitment to sustainability and authenticity in both food and beverage, Sixty offers a vibrant yet welcoming atmosphere for both guests and staff alike.

Sixty is currently seeking highly motivated kitchen operators who thrive in fast-paced, high-energy environments and who demonstrate a passion for delivering authentic hospitality. The establishment values individuals who show self-motivation and a consistent commitment to excellence, aiming to uphold the restaurant's reputation for quality and innovation. The current opportunity is for an experienced sous chef position, ideal for those with a robust background in high-volume, scratch-made cooking. This role is essential to the smooth operation of the kitchen, requiring someone who can efficiently manage all kitchen aspects, maintain the highest food safety and sanitation standards, and collaborate hand-in-hand with restaurant management to ensure seamless food and beverage service.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range between $52,000 and $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, employees benefit from a monthly profit-sharing plan, flexible schedules, and the potential for a four-day workweek once a month. Other notable benefits include up to 17 days of paid time off, 401(k) matching, insurance eligibility after 60 days, unique wine country trips, and complimentary access to mental health services. Training and developing hourly personnel is also key, ensuring a knowledgeable and motivated kitchen team.

Sixty values experienced candidates who have a minimum of two years in a similar kitchen role, preferably with backgrounds in leading and supervising hourly team members. While a degree in Culinary Arts is not mandatory, it is considered a plus. Candidates should also possess expertise in working within budget parameters, be familiar with scheduling and restaurant software programs, and display strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices.
