The role of Sous Chef at wagamama is a key leadership position within the kitchen, supporting the Executive Chef to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations. This role is ideal for culinary professionals passionate about delivering exceptional food quality and maintaining high standards of preparation and presentation. The Sous Chef will actively contribute to creating an inspiring kitchen environment where all team members are motivated to perform at their best and evolve their skills. This position also involves a significant coaching and mentoring component, helping develop the back-of-house team through training and support.

Beyond culinary leadership, the Sous Chef has important responsibilities related to food safety, hygiene, and operational efficiency. Maintaining compliance with HACCP standards and ensuring that the kitchen is always ready for inspections are critical tasks that help sustain wagamama's excellent reputation for quality and safety. The Sous Chef also plays a part in inventory management, ordering, and controlling food costs, contributing to the overall financial health of the kitchen operations. Furthermore, this role supports the roll-out of new menus and seasonal dishes, collaborating with the culinary team to introduce fresh and exciting offerings to delight guests.

This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a keen eye for detail, and displays strong leadership and organizational skills. The Sous Chef will be expected to maintain a clean, orderly kitchen that meets all operational standards, while also fostering a positive and productive atmosphere among the staff. This is an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals looking to advance their careers in a company that values innovation, quality, and team development.
