Job Description

We are currently looking for a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sous Chef at Lucky Strike Entertainment, you will play a vital role in upholding the company’s nationally recognized Food & Beverage program, ensuring all food offerings maintain high-quality standards. This position requires a blend of culinary expertise and sharp management skills. You will be responsible for managing kitchen operations efficiently, maintaining budgetary controls such as revenue, costs of sales, labor, and supplies, as well as overseeing banquet functions alongside the Operations and Sales teams. The Sous Chef will also take charge of food purchasing, staff scheduling, enforcing health and safety regulations, and fostering an environment of teamwork and professionalism.

This full-time role offers a wage range of $23.00 to $26.00 per hour, along with performance-based incentives and a comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare coverage among other perks. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of kitchen supervisory experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant setting
  • Current ServSafe certification is required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entertainment environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Experience with budget management and cost control
  • Ability to supervise and train kitchen staff effectively

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of kitchen supervisory experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venue
  • Experience preparing catered events and presenting food for special events is desirable
  • Relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable
  • Current ServSafe certification

Job Duties

  • Adhere to the company’s mandated Food & Beverage menu and purchasing programs
  • Maintain budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, supplies, and operating cash flow related to food operations
  • Review monthly profit and loss statements and make adjustments as necessary
  • Plan, supervise, and execute all banquet functions in conjunction with operations and sales staff in the absence of the Kitchen Manager/Chef
  • Supervise the preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of all food to ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation
  • Assist with kitchen equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with local Department of Health regulations through sanitation audits
  • Foster a teamwork environment and manage disciplinary issues in collaboration with management
  • Ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times
  • Report critical issues promptly to the General Manager
