Your duties include managing kitchen shift operations in accordance with established Food & Beverage policies and standards, estimating daily production needs, assisting the Executive Chef, and preparing foods for regular service and special functions. Creativity is encouraged, including developing new menu items, innovative food presentations, and decorative displays that enhance the dining experience. Maintaining purchasing, receiving, and storage standards is critical, as is ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Leadership is central to this role as you will supervise, coordinate, and motivate the kitchen team, fostering a positive, cooperative work environment. You will lead by example, demonstrate integrity, and cultivate mutual trust and respect among team members. Effective communication skills are essential to ensure all employees understand their roles and expectations. You will also be responsible for administering property policies fairly and consistently and driving employee performance towards achieving set goals.

Providing exceptional customer service is a priority. You will oversee daily operations to ensure quality, standards, and customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded. This involves interacting with guests, addressing their feedback and concerns, and empowering employees to deliver outstanding service. The role requires meeting and surpassing culinary goals, including performance, budget, and team objectives through strategic planning and prioritization.

Human resource management is a vital component, including identifying developmental needs, coaching and mentoring staff, participating in performance appraisals, and collaborating with Human Resources on personnel matters. You will play a key role in fostering a supportive environment that helps employees grow professionally and personally.

Additional responsibilities involve effective communication within the team, problem-solving, and actively participating in meetings to stay aligned with organizational goals.
