Job Qualifications
- College degree preferably specializing in culinary arts or equivalent experience
- Three to five years previous experience in culinary leadership roles in independent restaurants
- Michelin star experience required with preference for two or three Michelin star establishments
- ServSafe certification
- Proficient knife skills
- ServSafe allergen training
- Strong leadership, training, motivation, and communication skills
- Ability to operate culinary production equipment and related computer systems
- Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English
- Second language preferred but not required
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Executive Chefs across hotel and restaurant
Job Duties
- Partner with the Executive Chef to lead the kitchen team and ensure high-quality food preparation
- Oversee daily culinary operations including food production, presentation, and sanitation
- Train, coach, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain standards and enhance skills
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to maximize efficiency
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations including allergen management
