Job Description
Restaura is a pioneering hospitality company dedicated to transforming senior living dining experiences through exceptional hospitality, culinary excellence, and innovative, AI-powered technology solutions. Founded by industry leaders and entrepreneurs, Restaura aims to revolutionize the way senior dining is curated and delivered by combining elevated meal quality, concierge-level personalization, and data-driven insights. The culture at Restaura stands out in the industry, offering all associates—from kitchen staff and servers to corporate team members—a combined ownership stake exceeding 30%. This unique approach ensures that every team member feels valued, empowered to exceed expectations, and invested in the company's long-term success. Joining Restaura means becoming part of a dynamic, forward-thinking organization committed to delivering unparalleled culinary experiences and reshaping senior living dining today and into the future.
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. The Sous Chef will play a crucial role in preparing and cooking meals for our residents while consistently upholding high standards of food quality and service. This role entails meticulous preparation of ingredients, adherence to established recipes, and compliance with food safety and sanitation protocols. The successful candidate will be proficient in using kitchen tools safely—including knives, grills, fryers, ovens, and broilers—and may oversee other culinary staff in the absence of the Executive Chef. The Sous Chef will be responsible for maintaining the culinary philosophy and commitments unique to Restaura Hospitality, helping to train staff and ensure seamless daily operations within the kitchen.
The ideal candidate is ambitious and intellectually curious, demonstrating a strong desire to grow and learn alongside an entrepreneurial spirit. Routine tasks are embraced but continuously evaluated for process improvements. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to navigate new technologies are essential attributes. A positive attitude, strong professionalism, and team collaboration skills are vital, as is the ability to bring unique perspectives to the workplace. The Sous Chef will contribute not only culinary expertise but also leadership, communication, and quality assurance capabilities to enhance the overall dining experience for our senior residents.
In this role, you will be integral to managing daily kitchen operations, scheduling and delegating work assignments, training staff, and maintaining a positive, customer-focused environment. You will be responsible for ensuring strict compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards, executing meal production with precision based on forecasted demand, and maintaining high-quality food presentation. Additionally, you will monitor culinary team performance, manage inventory needs, and communicate effectively across shifts to guarantee smooth service operations. By joining Restaura, you embrace the opportunity to be a part of a company that values innovation, ownership, and meaningful impact on senior living communities.
