Wind Crest by Erickson Senior Living is an esteemed continuing care retirement community set in the beautiful 84-acre landscape of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, just minutes from Denver. As part of Erickson Senior Living, one of the largest and most respected senior living and health care providers in the United States, Wind Crest offers residents a vibrant lifestyle backed by financial stability and comprehensive health and well-being services. This community is known for its commitment to enhancing the quality of life for older adults, providing them with a supportive and engaging environment. Erickson Senior Living and its managed communities uphold a culture of diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging, ensuring a respectful and welcoming workplace that aligns with their mission, vision, and values. They also maintain a strong stance against unlawful discrimination and harassment, creating a safe and supportive atmosphere for all employees.

The Sous Chef role at Wind Crest is a prime opportunity for experienced culinary professionals looking to advance their careers within a dynamic and innovative setting. The position plays a critical role in delivering a superior dining experience through the company’s Signature Dining Programs. These programs emphasize à la minute cooking and chef-inspired creations, which highlight fresh, high-quality ingredients and creative meal preparation techniques. The Sous Chef will work in state-of-the-art kitchens equipped with top-notch culinary technology, collaborating closely with a dedicated team committed to excellence in food service and guest satisfaction. This role offers an annual salary ranging from $55,000 to $63,000, with pay commensurate with experience and paid bi-weekly. The work environment prioritizes quality of life, with most restaurant team members finishing their shifts before 9 pm, supporting work-life balance. In the Sous Chef position, the successful candidate will supervise culinary and utility staff scheduling, training, and discipline, ensuring smooth kitchen operations, particularly in the absence of the Executive Chef. Managing daily kitchen production and food preparation, the Sous Chef ensures all resident meals are served timely while maintaining strict adherence to recipes, food safety, dietary restrictions, and quality standards. Additional duties include overseeing the cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas, storage spaces, and loading docks. This role requires leadership capabilities, strong teamwork, and the ability to maintain high culinary standards in a fast-paced, senior living community setting. It's an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals passionate about leadership, innovation in dining, and contributing to a vibrant community lifestyle.
