We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our passionate kitchen team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary starting from $50,000 per year and includes valuable benefits such as dental and health insurance. The Sous Chef will play a vital role in leading and managing the kitchen in collaboration with Chef Kristen, particularly stepping up in her absence. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, eager to grow their culinary skills, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced kitchen environment. They will receive comprehensive training across all areas of the kitchen to ensure proficiency and versatility.

The Sous Chef will be responsible for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and punctuality that define both The Poppy and Parliament and The Salty Cod. Leadership skills are essential, as the role involves enforcing the pubs’ standards and procedures, supporting the team, and ensuring the delivery of excellent quality dishes consistently. Time management and consistency are key components of success in this position. Additionally, the Sous Chef will assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and managing weekly stock to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

This position requires an individual who is reliable, trustworthy, and dedicated to upholding the integrity and reputation of our kitchens. A resume is required for application, and ServSafe certification is preferred but not mandatory. This role is based entirely in person, providing a collaborative and energetic work environment where the sous chef can make a significant impact.
