As Sous Chef, you will be responsible for supervising and leading our kitchen staff to deliver excellent food quality and service consistently. Your duties will include overseeing food preparation, managing inventory and supply ordering, scheduling staff shifts, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have proven culinary and management experience, excelling in leadership, communication, and organizational skills. You will play a pivotal role in recruiting and training kitchen employees, contributing to menu pricing and changes alongside the restaurant management, and ensuring the kitchen environment is clean, efficient, and compliant with all regulations. The position demands a leader capable of adapting to the dynamic, fast-paced nature of a busy kitchen while maintaining an unwavering focus on food safety and operational efficiency. Job Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations
- Ability to work well in a stressful and fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict management abilities
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills
- Serv Safe Certified or willing to obtain certification
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties
- Order materials, supplies, and ingredients based on demand
- Supervise kitchen employees and organize food orders
- Oversee the food preparation and cooking process
- Recruit and train kitchen employees in designated stations
- Monitor inventory levels and perform weekly inventory assessments
- Work with the restaurant manager to price and change menu items
- Schedule work shifts for employees
- Store all food products in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Ensure the kitchen is clean and organized
- Maintain weekly and monthly cost reports
