Job Requirements
- Ability to read and write in English
- Manual dexterity for keyboarding
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, and reaching
- Comfortable working in extreme temperatures
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Previous culinary management experience
- Willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and positive work environment
Job Qualifications
- Two years of kitchen/culinary management experience at a full-service, upscale restaurant
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Ability to manage food quality and kitchen operations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Experience in inventory and vendor management
- Ability to train and motivate staff
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Ability to perform duties of all management positions within the restaurant
Job Duties
- Maintain food quality standards for the restaurant
- Assist Executive Chef in overseeing food procurement, production, and service
- Fill in for Executive Chef when necessary
- Provide clear feedback to kitchen staff and management
- Conduct daily pre-service meetings
- Provide immediate feedback on food quality and presentation
- Ensure target ticket times are consistently achieved
- Maintain kitchen equipment and storage areas clean and functional
- Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and pass Health Department audits
- Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and storage practices
- Assist Executive Chef with sales and profitability goals
- Manage vendor relations and equipment maintenance
- Follow recipes and procedures strictly
- Complete culinary line and sanitation checks daily
- Communicate positively with leaders, team members, and guests
- Counsel and coach team members regularly
- Assist in staff evaluations
- Train and develop team members
- Maintain a safe and harassment-free workplace
- Take quick responsible actions for problem-solving
- Perform other duties as assigned
