Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years culinary experience
  • knowledge of food safety regulations
  • ability to work early morning shifts
  • physical stamina for kitchen work
  • good interpersonal skills
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and portion controls

Job Qualifications

  • experience in a culinary role, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to prepare food according to standardized recipes
  • leadership skills to manage and supervise kitchen staff
  • excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • culinary degree or certification preferred
  • familiarity with dietary restrictions and special meal preparation

Job Duties

  • assist the Executive Chef in overall coordination of food preparation and presentation
  • supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficiency and quality
  • enforce sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen
  • prepare food following standardized recipes and portion requirements
  • manage meal schedules and proper storage of raw and prepared food
  • oversee cleaning requirements and maintenance of kitchen equipment
  • support inventory management and ordering supplies
