We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team. This role is vital to maintaining the high standards of food preparation and presentation that our residents expect and deserve. The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring that meals are prepared according to standardized recipes and meet portion and quality guidelines. The position includes supervising kitchen staff, managing sanitation protocols, and maintaining proper storage and handling of food items. The work schedule is typically from 6am to 2pm, with days assigned as needed, and offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $26 to $27.25.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years culinary experience
  • knowledge of food safety regulations
  • ability to work early morning shifts
  • physical stamina for kitchen work
  • good interpersonal skills
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and portion controls

Job Qualifications

  • experience in a culinary role, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
