Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in a culinary role
  • Experience as a Sous Chef or similar position
  • Knowledge of food service operations and kitchen management
  • Experience in team management
  • Familiarity with inventory control and stock maintenance
  • Background in banquet service
  • Strong communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably as a Sous Chef or similar position within a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong knowledge of food service operations, including culinary techniques and kitchen management practices
  • Experience in team management, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of culinary professionals
  • Familiarity with inventory control processes and best practices for maintaining stock levels
  • Background in banquet service is highly desirable
  • Experience in menu development
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments

Job Duties

  • Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels
  • Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency and quality across all dishes
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment
  • Participate in banquet preparations, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality meals for events
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere
  • Assist with bartending duties as needed during events or busy service periods
