Lucky Strike Entertainment is seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join their vibrant team. This critical culinary role blends exceptional cooking skills with managerial responsibilities, playing a vital part in bringing the company’s nationally recognized Food & Beverage menus to life. The Sous Chef is responsible for maintaining high food standards, efficiently managing kitchen operations, and consistently ensuring an outstanding guest experience. The Sous Chef at Lucky Strike Entertainment will support the culinary leadership by supervising kitchen operations, including food preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage, all while ensuring the highest quality and presentation standards are met. They are instrumental in adhering to the company’s mandated Food & Beverage menu and purchasing programs, ensuring cost control and budget adherence. Sieving through monthly profit and loss statements and making operational adjustments are part of their duties to maintain overall kitchen profitability.

In this role, collaboration is key as the Sous Chef works closely with Operations and Sales teams to plan and execute banquet functions and special events. They step in during the absence of the Kitchen Manager or Chef to supervise service and food preparation, ensuring seamless dining experiences for guests across multiple venues. Moreover, the Sous Chef plays an active role in staff scheduling to efficiently manage shifts according to business demands while fostering a positive team environment and resolving any disciplinary matters in partnership with management.

Additionally, the Sous Chef assists with kitchen equipment maintenance and ensures compliance with all local Department of Health regulations by conducting sanitation audits. Maintaining a clean, safe working environment is a priority, and the Sous Chef is expected to proactively address any critical issues and report them immediately to the General Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of kitchen supervisory experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venue
  • Experience preparing catered events and presenting foods for special events desirable
  • Relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable
  • Current ServSafe certification required

Job Duties

  • Adhere to the companys mandated F&B menu and purchasing programs
  • Maintain budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, supplies, as well as operating cash flow as it relates to food operations
  • Review monthly profit & loss statements and make adjustments as necessary
  • Work with the Operations team and Sales staff in the absence of the KM/Chef, plan, supervise, and execute all banquet functions
  • Supervise the preparation and service of food and refreshments as well as clean-up
  • Estimate food consumption and make purchases as appropriate from our specified food program
  • Schedule staff efficiently to accommodate shifts in business volume
  • Partner with KM/Chef or General Manager to address and resolve disciplinary issues as appropriate
  • Foster a teamwork environment
  • Ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation are always at company standard
  • Supervise and oversee preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of all food
  • Assist Chef with managing all kitchen equipment maintenance as well as local Department of Health regulations by conducting sanitation audits
  • Proactively ensure that a clean, safe environment is maintained at all times
  • Report critical issues to General Manager ASAP
