Job Description

Lucky Strike Entertainment, formerly known as Bowlero Corp, is one of the world's leading location-based entertainment platforms. With more than 360 locations across North America, the company offers a wide array of experiential entertainment options including bowling, amusement parks, water parks, and family entertainment centers. Lucky Strike Entertainment is not only a premier destination for social gatherings and fun but also the proud owner of the Professional Bowlers Association, the major league of bowling with a growing media presence that attracts millions of fans worldwide. This robust background positions Lucky Strike Entertainment as a dynamic and fast-growing entity in the entertainment sector, known for delivering memorable experiences and maintaining high standards across its venues. Their commitment to both quality and innovation makes them a highly sought-after employer for those passionate about hospitality and entertainment.

The Sous Chef role at Lucky Strike Entertainment presents an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant team dedicated to excellence in culinary arts and food service management. As a key member of the Food & Beverage team, the Sous Chef acts as a vital guardian of the company’s menus and overall kitchen operations. This role combines culinary expertise with strong leadership and management capabilities to ensure consistently high-quality food standards and efficient kitchen workflow. Salary for this position ranges from $28.00 to $30.00 per hour, with additional performance-based incentives and a competitive benefits package including healthcare coverage.

In this role, the Sous Chef is responsible for adhering to the company’s mandated food and beverage menu and purchasing programs, rigorously managing budgeted revenue and operational costs, and overseeing banquet functions in collaboration with operations and sales teams. You'll manage food preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage to meet company quality standards while maintaining compliance with local Department of Health regulations through regular sanitation audits. The position also involves effective staff scheduling to match business volume and fostering a collaborative team environment by addressing disciplinary issues where necessary. This is a dynamic, hands-on role requiring a proactive approach to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment and quick resolution of critical issues by reporting to the General Manager promptly.

Candidates should have a minimum of 1 to 3 years of kitchen supervisory experience in high-volume settings such as retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venues. Experience with catered events is preferred, though relevant education and equivalent experience combinations are also valued. Current ServSafe certification is mandatory to qualify for this position. Working in a typical entertainment environment, the Sous Chef will stay active on their feet, frequently walking, bending, and occasionally lifting objects with some assistance.

Lucky Strike Entertainment not only offers a chance to work in an energetic and fun setting but provides excellent perks including free bowling, discounted arcade play, significant savings on events and food and beverages, and weekly pay to keep your efforts rewarding and motivating. This position is classified under other employment types, promising diverse opportunities for growth within a well-established yet innovative company.
