Job Description

Arcis Golf is seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to join the Food & Beverage department at The Clubs at Arrowhead. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef will play a critical role in supporting the culinary operations, leading the kitchen team, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and service. This exempt position offers a salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 and requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

In this role, the Sous Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations under the direction of the Executive Chef, ensuring compliance with national programs such as the Menu Program, Approved Product List, and inventory procedures. The Sous Chef is responsible for supervising food preparation processes including proper cooking methods, portion control, garnishing, and timely delivery of dishes to ensure guest satisfaction. An integral part of the duties involves maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to food safety standards, and stepping into the Executive Chef's role when necessary to uphold kitchen excellence.

Effective communication with other departments is paramount, as the Sous Chef coordinates efforts to support special programs and events, ensuring seamless operation and guest satisfaction. The position requires a leader who can respond promptly and warmly to guest requests, demonstrating a commitment to high-quality service and teamwork.

Candidates for this position must have prior culinary experience and hold at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail, leadership abilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Additionally, candidates are expected to obtain ServSafe certification within 30 days of hire and hold any necessary food service permits as mandated by local or state authorities.

Working conditions include night, weekend, and holiday shifts, reflecting the needs of the hospitality industry. Physical demands involve frequent movement around the kitchen, handling various products and utensils, lifting up to 50 pounds, and constant interaction with staff and guests. This role requires both physical stamina and cognitive agility to manage kitchen operations effectively.

Job Duties
