The Sous Chef role at Parkhurst Dining offers an exciting opportunity to join this dynamic team. As a pivotal member of the culinary department, the Sous Chef is responsible for managing and directing all culinary staff to ensure that the highest standards of food quality and preparation are consistently met. This position requires hands-on leadership to oversee the kitchen operations, ensuring that each dish upholds the company's reputation for excellence. Additionally, the Sous Chef will assist in purchasing essential inventory items such as food, paper, cleaning supplies, bakery products, and safety materials within budgeted limits, reflecting the importance of cost-control and resource management.

Working closely with the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef plays an instrumental role in menu development, the organization and completion of production sheets, and the execution of new recipe standards. Monitoring sanitation, cleanliness, and safety protocols through regular inspections ensures the kitchen adheres to all health and safety regulations. The role also demands verifying that recipe standards and consistency are maintained to deliver quality products every time.

This position is scheduled Monday through Friday, offering a structured full-time schedule with a competitive pay rate of $25 per hour.   • Ability to organize workloads and meet time deadlines
  • Strong leadership and team management skills desirable
