Job Description

Stonebreaker Hotel is a distinguished hospitality establishment located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, renowned for blending modern comfort with an intimate, welcoming atmosphere. As a premier hotel property, Stonebreaker prides itself on offering guests an elevated hospitality experience that balances sophistication and charm. Positioned conveniently near the University of Arkansas campus, this unique location allows guests to enjoy proximity to vibrant campus life without contending with the hustle and bustle often found in downtown entertainment districts. The hotel is committed to creating an environment that caters not only to guests seeking relaxation and comfort but also to those looking for quality dining and service executed with passion and attention to detail.

This full-time, onsite opportunity to join the Stonebreaker Hotel team as a Sous Chef presents a rare and exciting chance to become a key player in their Food & Beverage department. The hotel values hands-on leadership that fosters a creative and productive kitchen environment. The Sous Chef role is integral in shaping the culinary experience for guests, requiring an individual who can seamlessly collaborate with the Executive Chef while managing day-to-day kitchen operations. As a vital part of the Stonebreaker Hotel's culinary team, the Sous Chef will help uphold the hotel’s standard for food quality and presentation, ensuring that every dish served not only meets but exceeds guest expectations.

The role encompasses overseeing meal preparation by carefully reviewing menus and product specifications, actively evaluating menu production, and ensuring portion sizes align with cost and quality standards. The Sous Chef will also focus on productivity improvements and quality control by promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the kitchen. Supervision of kitchen staff, particularly in the absence of the Restaurant Chef, is a key responsibility, highlighting the leadership qualities required for this position. The ideal candidate will bring a deep expertise in food preparation, a keen eye for detail, and experience in standardizing production recipes for consistency and efficiency.

Stonebreaker Hotel embraces diversity and inclusion, fostering a workplace culture where all team members are encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work. The employer, under the MMI Hotel Group umbrella, is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and a member of E-Verify. Candidates from all backgrounds, including minorities, women, veterans, and individuals with disabilities, are encouraged to apply and contribute their unique perspectives to the team. If you are ServSafe Certified with a culinary degree or equivalent work experience and eager to develop your career in a supportive, growth-oriented environment, Stonebreaker Hotel might be the perfect match for you.

Joining as a Sous Chef at Stonebreaker Hotel means embracing a role that is both challenging and rewarding, where your culinary skills will directly impact guest satisfaction and operational excellence. The hotel’s commitment to quality and guest-centric service creates a dynamic workplace where innovation and traditional culinary craftsmanship go hand in hand. Working onsite in Tulsa, OK, this full-time position offers a consistent schedule and the chance to make a meaningful contribution to a respected hotel brand committed to hospitality excellence.
